Payson, UT (May 2, 2017) – Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS headed back East one more time for the second-to-last round of the Monster Energy Supercross series as it visited MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ. Both team riders were on the gas this past Saturday, as both Davi Millsaps and Blake Baggett raced to top five finishes.

Davi Millsaps started his night off right with a solid ride in his heat race. He once again grabbed a front-of-the-field start at the beginning of the race. Davi continued to push every lap, fighting off a late-race charge to finish 3rd and transfer directly to the main event.

He timed the gate perfectly and again used the explosive start power of his FMF Racing exhaust system to round the first turn in 3rd. He raced hard up front, running as high as 2nd place during the race. Davi didn’t let the competition faze him as he muscled his way around the technical track to finish the night in 4thplace. Davi holds down 6th place in championship points.

I felt strong tonight,” said Davi. “My starts were on point, and I was fast on this track. I’m pumped with my performance, and am excited going into Vegas to grab that podium spot.”

Blake Baggett also had his starts dialed, and he battled for the holeshot in his heat race. Blake continued to ride strong, holding off the charge from behind to finish 2nd and transferring directly to the main event.

In the main, Blake rounded the first turn in 8th place. With the help of his WP Factory Services Suspension keeping him in control on the technical track, he started working his way up to the front. He made his way inside the top five and finished the night in 5th place, right behind his teammate. Heading into the last round, Blake sits 7th place in championship points.

Tonight was a good night,” said Blake. “While the track was tough, I was able to work my way through the field and into the top five. I am ready for Vegas next weekend, and I’m looking to finish the season on the podium.”

The team’s 250 fill-in rider, Dakota Alix, did not race Saturday due to an injury sustained earlier in the week. After riding first practice and not feeling 100 percent, both Alix and the team decided it would be best to sit this round out.

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS now head to Las Vegas, NV, and Sam Boyd Stadium for the season-ending round of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series.
